The Shia group Hezbollah on Thursday criticized UN Chief Ban Ki-moon for presenting “an incomplete [report] on the results of his tour of the region” during a Security Council’s monthly meeting for discussing the situation in the Middle East, according to the National News Agency.

Hezbollah said that Ban “did not tackle very dangerous issues related to international security and peace… such as the Zionist killings and arrests targeting the Palestinian people, in addition to [the attempts seeking to] Judaize [Jerusalem],” and construct settlement units on Palestinian lands.

Hezbollah added that Ban’s failure to mention the developments regarding the Palestinian territories “shows that the [UN Security Council is being used] by international powers and the Zionist entity to carry out conspiracy plans against the region and its people.”
